Oops, I'm in People Magazine Again

Hey there, sweater enthusiast! 👋🧶

It’s me, Sidney Raz, back with another SWEATER LETTER—because newsletters are cool, but sweaters are cozier. Let’s dive into this week’s “things I wish I knew sooner” and cancer updates.

🧠 Main Hack

The Travel Life Hack that changed my life.

What a sweet young child I was four years ago at 32.

Did you know that travel pillows go in front? I didn’t! That was the life hack that got me on People Magazine’s radar the first time but not the last. It happened again this week.

Here’s the trick: Turn around the travel pillow so your head can rest forward on flights—it’s so cozy! 🤯

I made a video about it here: Watch it on Instagram!

Try it and let me know if you can actually sleep on your next flight.

Wait am I famous?

This week People Magazine, E! news online, Us Weekly, and Newsweek all picked up the story of me having stomach cancer. Huh?! I didn’t know I was worthy of that!

But to be honest, the story of how I found it is insane so I’m glad people are learning about the need for genetic testing through my experience.

It’s really been incredible to see the response from everyone that reads this newsletter, and so many others from around the world. This hasn’t been an easy few weeks for me but I’ve already made some incredible connections that I’ll never take for granted.

I was on the home page of GOOGLE. WHAT.

So, no stomach removal?

Yesterday I had a screening to see what stage my cancer was, and it came back way more positively than expected. So for now I don’t need chemo! And maybe even no stomach removal for now? We’ll see. The worst part about yesterday was that I didn’t get to eat or drink coffee so my head was killing me.

The spice lords know me?!

Hot Ones has need my video! They’re sending me a box of hot sauce, and I’ll be going live on Instagram with members of the team soon. Thank you for sharing my video everyone!

Until Next Time…

Go forth and impress your friends with your newfound knowledge!

Thanks for reading!
